Rob Langford, CEO of The Packaging Forum says:“In 2021, despite service disruptions caused by COVID-19 lockdowns, 331 tonnes of post-consumer soft plastics were collected, which is the equivalent to 50 million bags or wrappers and re-manufactured into around 34,000 posts which is enough posts to fence a stretch of road from Auckland to Whangarei. The Soft Plastic Recycling Scheme is 100% funded by our members with levies funding collections right through to processing. Future Post makes soft plastic recycling possible.
